Varsity Burgers can be found in the heart of Northbridge in a narrow lane along Aberdeen Street. This hidden gem is located just off the main road and is easy to find. Elwyn and I sat under the stars before seeing Burnt at Cinema Paradiso. We enjoyed three burgers, or perhaps a burger feast, before Burnt.
The Double Cheese Deluxe Burger is a double cheeseburger with layers of lettuce, tomato, red onion pickles, and varsity mayo. This deluxe burger is one of the most hearty. Imagine layers of cheese sandwiched between juicy patties and creamy mayo. It is topped with soft, fluffy burger buns. Mmmmm. This is burger heaven. There’s also the buffalo chicken, which includes buffalo fried chicken breasts, cheese, lettuce, tomato, celery, ranch, and ranch. Although I prefer beef, I loved the buffalo chicken burger just as much as the double-cheese deluxe burger. The chicken’s crunchy, juicy flavors are bursting forth in one bite. There is also a hint of spice between each bite. The varsity offers a buffalo fried chicken breast chicken burger.
We tried something new – the Presley Burger. This double cheeseburger has bacon-crunch peanut butter and smashed banana. You only need one bite to enjoy the combination of sweet and savory, from the peanut butter’s sweet flavors to the lovely texture of the smashed banana. This is a taste that takes some getting used to.
It’s fantastic that we finished three delicious and hearty burgers. It was an incredible burger feast. You will be satisfied with your burger cravings. I don’t know if you feel the same, but there is more competition in the burger market.
