Technically, I did not “stir fry” anything here; however, this is the kind of dish you can make at home in order to imitate stir-fry when you don’t have the right equipment. It was more than a “brief saute,” but that does not have the same flavor. Whatever the case, these Easy Beef Stir Fry noodles were delicious and quick to cook, and that’s all that really matters. I tried to make this dish as quick and simple as it was possible, and that was the goal. Simple, no fuss, and simple. The ingredients are not complicated. However, the flavor is nonetheless a big hit.
WHAT KIND OF NOODLES SHOULD I USE?
I made use of the rice noodles because that’s what I was craving; however, in a pinch, you can use almost any length of spaghetti in the world. Ramen? OK, please take it. Fettuccini? It’ll pass. Lo mein? Please do it. Flexibility is the word of the day when you’re making stir-fries!
WHAT IS CHILI GARLIC SAUCE?
The chili garlic sauce can be described as a simple blend of ground garlic, red chiles, vinegar, and salt. It’s an easy method of adding flavor and heat to any dish or sauce you make at home. I made use of the Huy Fong Brand, available in the majority of major supermarkets throughout the United States. It’s the same brand that makes the well-known “green top” sriracha that is sold in a majority of supermarkets.
If you are unable to find chili garlic sauce, you can substitute sriracha or sambal oelek to replace it.
IS THE BEEF STIR-FRY NOODLES SPICY?
Thanks to chili-garlic sauce, this recipe is extremely spicy. If you’re looking to make something similar, you can use the sauce I made to make the recipe. Vegetarian Lo Mein recipe. Are you looking for spiced noodles without the beef? Check out my Spicy Dragon Noodles.

1 TBSP water ($0.00)
1 TBSP brown sugar($0.02)
1-2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce ($0.68)
1 tsp toasted sesame oil ($0.57)
STIR FRY
Eight oz. rice noodles ($1.43)
Two cloves of garlic ($0.16)
1 Tbsp grated ginger ($0.10)
One tablespoon vegetable oil ($0.02)
1/2 lb. ground beef that is lean ($3.74)
One carrot ($0.16)
$3-4 Green Onions ($0.50)
One handful fresh cilantro (optional) ($0.25)
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the packet, taking care to cook them until they are in a state of al dente and not cooked. Rinse the noodles in a colander, and then set aside.
Mix in the soy sauce with water, Chili garlic sauce, sesame oil, and chili garlic. Place it aside.
Mince the garlic and then grate the ginger. Use a large-holed cheesegrater to cut the carrot (or make a julienne with mandoline). Cut the green onions in a diagonal, cutting off the white fleshy parts of the end greens.
In the meantime, heat the vegetable oil in a large pan at medium temperature. Once it is hot include the minced beef gar, lic, and ginger. Cook until the meat has cooked to perfection. Add the white pieces of the green onions cut into slices, and cook for a further minute. Add the chopped carrots and sauté for another minute (leaving the carrots a little crunchy).
Add the rinsed noodles as well as the sauce you prepared into the pan. Stir until all is coated with sauce and any moisture has been taken up into the noodles. Switch off the heat and serve with the green part of the sliced green onions as well as freshly cut cilantro leaves.
