The Indian Ocean Brewing Co is located on Mindarie Marina, just outside the Northern suburbs. It looks out over the water. Few brewery views are better than this: blue skies, palm trees, yachts, and endless ocean. This view is complemented by the fact that the attached venue has the Indi range of ciders and beers and a menu that can be enjoyed with your family in the evening or afternoon.

The original installation of the brew kit took place in 2006. It has been in use ever since under different brewers. Jackson Purser, Brody Watts, and Mal Secourable have been leading the brewing operations since early 2016. They are following the lead of Dave Brough, a well-traveled brewer.

They quickly put their spin on the matter, dismantling the brewery and rebuilding it (located in a tiny corner of the vast venue), tweaking its core range (and winning five medals at Australian International Beer Awards shortly after), and adding seasonals to the field. They are more than just what is in the glass. The pair created decals that are both art and functional.

The best way to experience the entire range is to visit Mindarie. However, Indian Ocean beers appear more frequently at Perth’s top beer venues, such as The DTC and Petition.

You can also enjoy the beers at the adjacent poolside venue if you go to the forum. If you’re still thirsty at departure, you can get a CANimal of their beers at the bar.
